Sevilla Activa, the public housing company of the Diputación de Sevilla, has tendered the project and construction of an information and exhibition pavilion for Barrio de Quarto, a new urban development planned for approximately 6,000 homes.

The new space, with an approximate area of 120 square meters, will be located in Bellavista, near Cortijo de Cuarto. Its main objective will be to serve as a reference point for informing citizens and interested stakeholders about the urban development of Barrio de Quarto, while also showcasing the project's architectural and construction principles.
This initiative aims to enhance public information about Barrio de Quarto before the next stages of its urban planning process. The pavilion's construction is scheduled for 2027. In parallel, Sevilla Activa plans to submit the document for the initial approval of the project to the Sevilla Urban Planning Department by the end of October.
The tender, published on October 6 on the Public Sector Contracting Platform, sets November 11 as the deadline for submitting bids. The base budget for the tender amounts to 592,802.91 euros (VAT included), with an estimated value of 489,919.76 euros excluding taxes. The total timeframe for project drafting and construction execution is seven months.
The contract includes the drafting of the basic and execution project, safety and health studies, construction and demolition waste management studies, and the necessary technical assistance during the processing and warranty period, in addition to the execution of the works themselves.
The winning proposal must demonstrate architectural quality and integration with the environment. Aspects to be valued in the award include architectural quality, construction system industrialization, and the pavilion's disassembly and relocation conditions. Principles such as nearly zero or very low energy consumption, bioclimatic architecture, the use of low-carbon footprint materials, construction reversibility, and respect for existing trees will also be considered.
