The legal dispute over the control of Wewi Mobile, the parent company operating under the Finetwork brand, continues in the courts. Following the Provincial Court of Alicante's decision to revoke the ruling that granted Vodafone majority shareholding of the operator, the company has exhausted the nullity incident route to attempt to reverse the situation.
Company sources confirmed that this procedural step was necessary to approach the Constitutional Court. The operator believes that the judicial resolution which annulled the restructuring plan, allowing Vodafone to acquire 99.4% of Finetwork's capital as debt repayment, creates unacceptable legal uncertainty.
“"We have filed a nullity incident, an exceptional procedural appeal that allows us to ask the same judicial body that issued a final resolution to annul judicial actions because a violation of fundamental rights occurred during the procedure."
The company maintains that it has acted in accordance with the law at all times and will continue to use all legal avenues available to defend its interests. This conflict has become one of the most significant legal fronts in the Spanish telecommunications sector.
