The province of Córdoba has broken its historical export record in the first half of 2026, exceeding 1.95 billion euros and increasing its trade surplus.

The external sector of Córdoba demonstrates remarkable strength, surpassing the growth averages of Andalusia and Spain. Cordoban exports grew by 7.75% year-on-year, representing 8.7% of the regional total.
The province's trade surplus has significantly strengthened, reaching a coverage rate of 163.97%, the second highest in Andalusia. This is due to an 8.83% decrease in imports, which stood at 1.19 billion euros, while exports neared 2 billion euros.
The star products of Cordoban exports remain copper and its manufactures, totaling 726.33 million euros (37.2% of the total) with a 25.2% increase. Olive oil holds second place, contributing 445.69 million euros (22.8%), despite a 12.6% drop attributed to falling prices.
Rounding out the top products are mechanical machinery and apparatus with 99.15 million euros (+3.9%), stone, precious metals, and jewelry with 69.98 million (+35.9%), and aluminum and its manufactures with 62.49 million (+163.8%).
Regarding imports, copper also leads with 481.32 million euros, although with a 28.3% contraction. This is followed by fats and oils (120.07 million) and mechanical machinery (109.10 million).
The main destination market for Cordoban exports is Europe. Italy leads purchases with 532 million euros (+18%), followed by Portugal (293 million, +7%) and France (220 million, +5%). Morocco ranks fourth with 212 million (+22%), and the United States closes the top five despite a 10% decrease.
On the import side, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the primary origin with 237.72 million euros, driven by copper supply. Within the European Union, Portugal is the second largest origin (155.66 million), followed by Italy (106.69 million).
