The Generalitat has opened the public auction procedure to sell two properties it owns: a building at Barcelonina street number 4 in Valencia, valued at 1,358,489.07 euros, and a rustic plot in the Pinella area of Vila-real, with a starting bid of 6,711.16 euros. This action is part of the Consell's strategy to optimize the management of public assets.
The building in Valencia, which was previously the subject of four unsuccessful auctions, has a built area of 727 square meters and a historical peculiarity: it was associated with the founding place of Valencia CF, as the old Bar Torino was located there. Although later research placed the bar elsewhere, a commemorative plaque on the facade recalls this connection.
The second property, located in Vila-real, is situated next to the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza of Villarreal CF. This land has been declared unexploitable as it does not meet the minimum cultivation unit, justifying its sale after being unsuccessfully offered to neighboring owners and Generalitat departments.
The Generalitat aims with this sale to boost the region and value assets that are not necessary for the Administration. The deadline to submit bids for the auction, which will be conducted in lots via sealed bids, ends on June 9. The opening of bids will take place on June 30.
