Pastor, a graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia and a specialist in Thoracic Surgery, joined the staff of the General Hospital of Valencia in 2012. Since 2013, he has also served as an associate professor of surgery at the Department of Surgery of the University of Valencia. He holds a master's degree in Robotic Surgery and has participated as an instructor in various postgraduate programs related to thoracic and airway surgery.
Throughout his professional career, he has significantly contributed to the field of thoracic oncological surgery and the surgery of chest wall deformities, areas in which he has acquired extensive experience.
Among the initial projects proposed for this new phase is the implementation of a prehabilitation and preoperative optimization program, as part of the ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) strategy, in collaboration with the Anesthesia Service. The objective is to optimize the patient's condition before pulmonary resection surgery for oncological pathology, thereby facilitating a faster recovery post-surgery.
