The Textile Technology Institute (AITEX) has developed a broad portfolio of R&D projects during 2026, aimed at anticipating the technological challenges of the industry and converting knowledge into new solutions.

With the support of the IVACE-GVA and IVACE-STEP calls, these initiatives address strategic areas such as sustainability, circular economy, advanced materials, digitalization, advanced manufacturing, and the development of high value-added solutions for different productive sectors. The goal is to generate and transfer knowledge to companies, fostering their competitiveness, innovation capacity, and adaptation to new market demands.
AITEX's R&D projects for 2026 include the development of new high-performance and functionalized materials, the promotion of circular economy and sustainability, the creation of high value-added solutions for strategic markets, as well as advanced manufacturing, smart textiles, and digitalization.
AITEX possesses the experience, scientific knowledge, and technological capabilities necessary to accompany companies throughout the innovation process. Its R&D activity covers advanced materials, sustainability, circular economy, biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, smart textiles, and digitalization, with a clear focus on knowledge transfer and improving business competitiveness.
This work aligns with AITEX's corporate positioning in applied research, technological innovation, and the transfer of solutions to various productive sectors. The project is funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
