The Aljarafe-Doñana Rural Development Group has launched the BIOSTARS call for young innovators, seeking ideas and projects with the potential to generate opportunities and contribute to sustainable development in the region.

The initiative is aimed at individuals up to 35 years old who reside or carry out their activity in one of the 16 municipalities of Aljarafe-Doñana. Proposals related to rural innovation, bioeconomy, sustainability, circular economy, renewable energies, green transition, sustainable food systems, nature-based solutions, digital innovation applied to rural areas, youth entrepreneurship, or social innovation are sought.
It is not necessary to have an established company or a fully developed project; BIOSTARS seeks ideas with potential and supports those taking their first steps. Students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and any young person with an initiative related to the call's objectives can participate individually or in teams.
The highest-rated candidate will represent the territory at the final project day in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in May 2027. Additionally, they will receive the BIOSTARS Youth Innovators Pack, which includes specialized training, mini-incubation, mentorship, networking opportunities, and international visibility.
Applications can be submitted until October 31, 2026, at 23:59 hours via the BIOSTARS Application Form, sent to [comunicacion@adad.es](mailto:comunicacion@adad.es). Basic information about the person or team, the proposal, its development stage, the priority area it contributes to, the expected impact, and motivation are required. Optionally, photographs or a brief presentation video can be attached.
