The job market in Bilbao is seeing highly specialized technical profiles earning the highest salaries, with some positions reaching up to 113,000 euros annually, according to a recent report by Randstad Research.
The 2026 Salary Trends Report by Randstad Research indicates that the ten highest-paid positions in Bilbao can command salaries of up to 113,000 euros per year. This comprehensive analysis covers data from eight major geographical areas and nearly 400 roles across 14 sectors, highlighting the premium placed on highly specialized technical profiles in the Bilbao labor market.
The technical lead profile within the IT sector is identified as the best-remunerated among senior professionals in Bilbao for 2026, with an annual salary ranging from 88,000 to 113,000 euros. Following closely, the plant manager secures salaries between 78,000 and 110,000 euros, establishing itself as a top position in the industrial sector. The compliance officer ranks third, with compensation ranging from 60,000 to 100,000 euros annually.
In fourth place is the auditor in sectors such as banking, insurance, and consulting, earning between 60,000 and 99,000 euros. Consultants in these same sectors also command similar salaries. The project manager in engineering holds the sixth spot, with salaries from 56,000 to 92,000 euros. Meanwhile, a Site Reliability Engineer can earn between 70,000 and 90,000 euros, reflecting the high demand for professionals who ensure the stability and scalability of technological systems.
The eighth position is held by the Key Account Manager in engineering, with salaries between 60,000 and 85,000 euros. The product manager in digital and e-commerce environments ranks ninth, with a salary bracket of 63,000 to 74,000 euros. Closing the list is the actuary in the insurance sector, with salaries ranging from 58,000 to 74,000 euros.
The study indicates that Bilbao shows a positive average differential compared to most analyzed cities, surpassing Valencia (+11.56%), Málaga (+15.56%), Seville (+10%), and A Coruña (+8.71%), and slightly above Zaragoza (+2.41%). It maintains equivalent levels to Madrid (0%) and shows a slight disadvantage compared to Barcelona (-0.32%), where some profiles reach slightly higher maximums.
