This Wednesday, June 17th, the Europa Palace in Gasteiz will host the second edition of the Etekin economic forums, themed 'The housing crisis and its impact on the economy and society'.

The forum, starting at 09:00, will discuss the evolution of housing prices and scarcity, the effect of current laws and regulations, and potential measures and incentives to improve housing accessibility, among other topics.
Organizers announced that economist and researcher Julen Bollain Urbieta from Mondragon University, Ana Telleria Echeverria, Director of Neighborhood Revitalization and Urban Agenda for the Basque Government, and Pedro Ayestaran, Director of Inmobiliaria Orio and board member of ASCONGI, will be speakers.
Representatives from organizing institutions such as Bankoa Abanca, CaixaBank, the Basque Association of Economists, the Basque Institute of Finance, Kutxabank, Laboral Kutxa, and Rural Kutxa will also attend.
The Etekin economic forums aim to strengthen financial and economic networks, and the initiative stems from an agreement between the Basque Government and financial entities to revitalize the Basque language.
In related news, the Department of Mobility, Tourism, and Territorial Planning of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa will organize special services on Lurraldebus on June 20th and 21st to provide "comfortable and safe" transport to Bilbao for those attending the Osakidetza public employment exam at the BEC in Barakaldo (Bizkaia), "without needing to use a private vehicle".
Azahara Dominguez, Deputy for Mobility, Tourism, and Territorial Planning, specified that the bus on line DO01 (Donostia-Zarautz-Bilbao) will depart from Donostia at 06:30, arriving in Bilbao at 07:45. From Bilbao, attendees can take the metro service to the Ansio station, where the exams will be held at the BEC.
"In times of high attendance and special tension like opposition exams, it is crucial to ensure that everyone can attend such an important appointment, with conditions of comfort, safety, and accessibility at a reasonable price," she explained.
