Xabier Errasti, general director of Ezarri, has affirmed that the reinvestment of profits has been “key” to the company's development. These statements were made during a meeting with the general deputy of Gipuzkoa, Eider Mendoza, and an institutional delegation. Errasti also highlighted the “shared effort” between ownership and the workforce, which has positioned the Lazkao-based company as a leader in the recycled glass mosaic sector.
“"Betting on reinvestment has been key to our growth and to what we are today."
Founded in 1979 in Ikaztegieta, Ezarri became a benchmark in the French market three years later, subsequently expanding to countries in Europe, North Africa, Latin America, and parts of Asia. Classified as a “hidden champion” due to its high specialization and leadership in a niche with international projection, Ezarri's future forecasts aim to strengthen this reinvestment policy. However, Errasti warned that “it will be essential to have the support of institutions and related agents to face the challenges ahead.”
Eider Mendoza accepted the challenge, reiterating the support of the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council for projects that “contribute to positioning the territory as an industrial benchmark in the international market.” The general deputy emphasized the high degree of specialization of the Lazkao firm and its leadership in the recycled glass mosaic niche, highlighting its ability to face current uncertainty thanks to its technological innovation and internationalization.
Furthermore, Mendoza also highlighted Ezarri's membership in Inzu Group, an industrial group it joined in 2020. This integration has allowed the company to “maintain its specialization and differentiation, while addressing new strategic projects and consolidating its international growth.” Inzu Group was acquired last year by Kutxa Fundazioa, an operation that seeks to ensure the financial sustainability of the foundation and consolidate the group's roots in Gipuzkoa, creating a “sustainable, competitive, and innovative” business network.
