The 17th edition of the Vitoria-Gasteiz Employment Forum will be held on May 13 at the Europa Congress Palace, where over 90 companies and entities will present 752 job opportunities.

The 17th edition of the Vitoria-Gasteiz Employment Forum, known as Empleo Gune, is scheduled for May 13 at the Europa Congress Palace. This initiative, promoted by the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, the Provincial Council of Álava, the University of the Basque Country (EHU) Álava Campus, and Lanbide-Basque Public Employment Service, has become a key meeting point between the business sector and the citizens of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The main objectives of this event are to analyze employment opportunities across various economic sectors, disseminate job offers and required profiles from expanding companies in Álava and the Public Administration, and provide activities aimed at improving the skills of those actively seeking employment. More than 90 companies and entities will participate, offering a total of 752 job opportunities.

Of the 752 job opportunities, 20.5% require a university degree, while 10.5% are for higher-level qualifications. 26.2% of the offers demand a mid-level qualification, and 5.9% require ESO or Bachillerato. Notably, 39.6% of the positions do not specify qualification requirements. The most sought-after areas of knowledge include industry and engineering (25.8%) and administration (13.7%).

The Empleo Gune 2026 program will feature a comprehensive agenda, including workshops, a company round table, and a technical session for career guidance professionals. Workshops will cover topics such as accessing jobs in the European Union, preparing for public employment examinations, and utilizing Lanbide's services. Participating companies like Talgo, Grup Crit, Trigo Quality Ibérica, and Novia Salcedo Foundation will also host specific sessions.
