Aernnova has been compelled to cease production at its Berantevilla factory following a fire that completely destroyed the paint area, though fortunately no personal injuries were reported.

A fire broke out at Aernnova's Berantevilla facility on Tuesday, shortly after 5:00 PM, affecting an isolated section of the factory: the paint area. Although a large amount of smoke spread throughout the plant, the flames remained contained within this zone, which aided in its control.
The incident necessitated the immediate evacuation of the plant. Firefighters from Espejo, Nanclares, and Miranda de Ebro responded, along with Ertzaintza units and ambulances to attend to any potential casualties. Fortunately, no personal injuries were reported.
The fire-affected area was completely incinerated, and firefighters continued to ventilate the plant for a considerable period. Aernnova will assess the full extent of the damage on Wednesday, as production could not resume on Tuesday. The paint unit has been destroyed, and minor damage is also expected in other areas due to water used by firefighters and smoke.
