After evaluating 44 candidacies, the jury has selected 13 projects that stand out for their innovative nature and their commitment to scientific-technological and business development. The candidacies span strategic sectors such as Bio/Health, AI Technology, Industry and Sustainability, New Technologies, Sports Tech, and Ecological Transition.
Nine projects are competing in the «Startups and Business Projects» category, and four in the «Innovative Company» category. Three of these initiatives are also vying for the «Eibar Company – Made in Eibar» award.
Winners in the main categories will receive 12,000 euros each, along with access to business support programs, funding, advice, and training. The «Eibar Company – Made in Eibar» award, presented by the Eibar City Council, also includes 12,000 euros and a technological bonus of up to 10,000 euros.
During the ceremony, the «Iñaki Goenaga» Recognition will be presented to an Eibar company, highlighting its trajectory and contribution to the city's economic and business development.
The event will feature a conversation titled “2040: AN ODYSSEY IN GIPUZKOA. Science, Intelligence, and Humanity. The Future We Want to Build,” with Miguel Ángel Carrera (AVS Founder and CEO) and Román Orús (Multiverse Computing Co-founder and CSO), moderated by Koldo Peciña (Director General of Strategic Projects for the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa).
The Toribio Echevarria Awards, driven by the Eibar City Council and BIC Gipuzkoa, have established themselves as a benchmark for entrepreneurship in the Basque Country, supporting the visibility and growth of innovative projects.
