The Unió de Pagesos union has secured victory in the 2026 Agricultural Elections in Catalonia, despite a strong performance by JARC in the Lleida district.

With 4,417 votes, Unió de Pagesos (UP) remains the leading force in the sector, representing 47% of the total ballots. This result grants them six representatives on the Agricultural Board. Meanwhile, JARC secured 30% of the votes, increasing its representation to four members.
The regional breakdown shows that JARC managed to outperform UP specifically in the Lleida plains, obtaining 42.18% of the local vote. In contrast, Unió de Pagesos dominated in other areas, including the Pyrenees, where voter turnout reached a peak of 67%.

"The results reinforce the sector's confidence and ensure a significant weight for the union on the Agricultural Board."

Raquel Serrat · National Coordinator of Unió de Pagesos
Overall turnout rose to 54.78%, significantly higher than in 2021. Other candidates such as Asaja and Assemblea Pagesa failed to secure enough support to gain official representation in the dialogue with the Generalitat.
