According to the latest data published by the Tax Agency, Chipiona registered an average gross income of €21,283 per taxpayer in 2024. Out of the 40 municipalities analyzed in the province of Cadiz with over 1,000 inhabitants, the town ranks 28th, placing it in the bottom third.
This figure is below the provincial average gross income, which reached €28,166 in the same year. The statistics, derived from IRPF (Personal Income Tax) declarations, reflect income before reductions and deductions are applied.
Across the province, San Roque once again ranked as the municipality with the highest average gross income, with €40,333 per taxpayer. It was followed by Cadiz (€34,676), Los Barrios, Algeciras, and San Fernando. El Puerto de Santa María, with an average income of €32,384, also ranked among the municipalities with the highest earnings.
The Tax Agency's data reveal significant differences among the municipalities of Cadiz. While San Roque leads the list with over €40,000 in average gross income, Puerto Serrano is the poorest, with a difference of €24,630 compared to the top-ranked municipality.
The statistics also indicate a greater concentration of high incomes in the province's main urban areas, while the municipalities in the Sierra of Cadiz generally occupy the lower positions in the ranking.
