The International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB) will host the III Catalunya Circular Congress 2026 on October 28-29, a key event to accelerate the transition towards more sustainable and competitive production models.

For two days, the congress will bring together companies, administrations, research centers, universities, and professionals to share knowledge and solutions in circular economy. This third edition will focus on the challenges and opportunities of circularity, with keynote speeches and roundtables analyzing the current situation and anticipating future challenges.
Key debate topics will include eco-design, waste transformation into resources, decarbonization, new circular business models, innovation, and adaptation to European and Catalan regulations. Success stories from sectors such as textiles, furniture, automotive, construction, and tourism will also be presented.
A new feature is the launch of the OFF Catalunya Circular Activities, a parallel program with facility visits, technological demonstrations, and workshops across the territory to showcase existing projects and foster connections among circular economy stakeholders.
The conclusions and proposals from the congress will help guide the Government's future planning in this area, incorporating the vision of various players in the circular ecosystem.
The congress was presented by the director of the Agència de Residus de Catalunya, Albert Planell, the Director General for Climate Change and Environmental Quality, Sonsoles Letang, and the CEO of ACCIÓ, Joan Romero. A panel discussion with representatives from sectoral clusters also took place.
