These actions, part of the company's energy infrastructure modernization plan in the Canary Islands, primarily aim to increase the reliability of the supply in an area frequently exposed to adverse weather conditions.
The project includes the completion of the electrical ring between the La Atalaya and Los Sauces Residential Center transformation centers, which will provide the network with greater robustness and response capacity in the event of incidents. Additionally, more than two kilometers of medium-voltage lines will be buried, along with the creation of approximately 950 meters of new channeling in areas such as El Socorro, Cruz Chica, and Valle Guerra.
Furthermore, the Las Garimbas transformation center will be modernized, a significant improvement that will contribute to the optimal functioning of the entire infrastructure in the area. The implementation of a double medium-voltage line will allow for faster restoration of supply in case of outages, a crucial aspect in areas prone to intense winds and rains.
It is estimated that these improvements will directly benefit over 160,000 customers in northern Tenerife, ensuring a safer, more efficient service adapted to current demands. The works have already commenced, and the new lines are expected to be fully operational before the end of the summer season.
