According to data from the Córdoba College of Architects, between January and March 2026, projects totaling 187 housing units have been approved. Of these, 31 correspond to Official Protection Housing (VPO) and 156 to the free market. This volume represents an increase of 22 properties compared to the 165 recorded in the same period last year.
Despite this slight rise, the collegiate body warns about the usual fluctuations between quarters and suggests a more comprehensive analysis with annual data. Nevertheless, current figures are modest compared to recent years like 2024 and 2023, when 268 and 409 housing units were reached in the first quarter, respectively.
Free market housing has maintained stability over the last three years, with 137 units in 2024, 165 in 2025, and 156 in the current quarter of 2026. On the other hand, VPO has shown greater irregularity, going from 131 approved units in 2024 to none in 2025, then recovering 31 in 2026, of which 30 are concentrated in the capital.
The city of Córdoba accounts for approximately 40% of the apartments included in the approved projects. Specifically, of the 157 free market homes in this first quarter, 72 are located in the city. In the case of VPO, most of the authorized units have also been promoted in Córdoba capital.
