The average electricity price in Spain for this Wednesday, July 8, 2026, stands at €109.85/MWh, a figure that has been reduced thanks to the application of the gas cap.

For consumers under the regulated PVPC tariff, the average daily cost is set at €0.1739/kWh. The day presents a significant opportunity for energy savings during the afternoon window, especially between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
The lowest electricity price will be recorded between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, reaching €0.0792/kWh. Conversely, peak hours will be between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM, when the price will soar to €0.3061/kWh.
Consumers are advised to take advantage of the lower-cost hours to perform high-energy domestic tasks such as running the washing machine, dishwasher, or oven. Avoiding the peak demand period, between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, is key to reducing the bill.
Furthermore, it is recommended to set the air conditioning temperature between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius, especially during the most expensive hours, to optimize consumption and save on the July bill.
