The Silla City Council has launched the second DANA Employment Plan, which will allow the hiring of 81 people for recovery and improvement tasks in the municipality, with an investment of 562,947 euros funded by the Government of Spain and the European Union.

This new phase, which began this Wednesday, aims to accelerate the reconstruction of Silla after the damage caused by the flood, while also promoting labor insertion. The contracts will have a duration of three months, and the professional profiles are very varied, adapting to the specific needs of the municipality.
Among the professionals hired are engineers, social workers, tourism information officers, social educators, caretakers, and administrative staff. Construction officials, painters, gardeners, agricultural laborers, foremen, street sweepers, cleaning staff, and environmental technicians have also been incorporated, covering a wide range of municipal services.
This second plan continues a similar first initiative, which allowed the hiring of 61 people for six months thanks to a state subsidy of 714,420 euros. On that occasion, the work focused on the recovery of industrial estates and the Albufera Natural Park, areas particularly affected by the storm.

"Collaboration between administrations is being key to providing an effective response to an exceptional situation, and from the City Council we will continue working to make the most of these resources for the benefit of all citizens."

Vicente Zaragozá · Mayor of Silla
Adding both plans, the Silla City Council has received a total of 1,277,367 euros in subsidies from the Government of Spain, which has made possible the hiring of 142 people. This investment consolidates the DANA Employment Plan as a fundamental tool for post-DANA reconstruction and the revitalization of local employment.
