The Volkswagen ID.3 Neo makes its world debut with a new name and a significant update across all its features. Among the exterior novelties, a redesigned front stands out, based on Volkswagen's “Pure Positive” design language, along with a new light signature. The interior features a completely redesigned driving environment, with intuitive controls integrated into premium materials typical of a higher segment.
The new, more efficient propulsion system of the ID.3 Neo, combined with the largest of the three available batteries, allows for a range of up to 625 km (WLTP²). In addition to numerous standard assistance systems, such as Lane Assist, Front Assist, and the turn braking function, the compact electric vehicle incorporates a wide range of new functions thanks to the latest generation of software.
These innovations include the improved Connected Travel Assist with traffic light recognition (optional) and one-pedal driving, where the vehicle recovers energy until it comes to a complete stop. Furthermore, as with all new ID. models, it is now possible to supply power to external devices—from electric barbecues to electric bicycles—with up to 3.6 kW directly from the high-voltage battery using the vehicle-to-load function.
The exterior design of the ID.3 Neo reflects the True Volkswagen philosophy through a completely redesigned front, featuring a continuous light strip and an illuminated logo. The design follows Volkswagen's “Pure Positive” language, defined by the brand and Group Design Director. The roof, rear spoiler, and tailgate are painted in the body color, giving the ID.3 Neo a more elongated, low, and dynamic appearance.
The interior of the ID.3 Neo showcases a superior level of quality and clarity, with high-quality materials and a horizontal layout of lines and surfaces. New ergonomic and self-explanatory controls, along with easy-grip buttons and intuitive controls for main functions, enhance the user experience. The multifunction steering wheel has also been completely redesigned. The new Innovision infotainment system, with a Digital Cockpit of 26.0 cm (10.25 inches) and a central screen of 32.8 cm (12.9 inches), stands out for its fluid graphics and ease of use.
The ID.3 Neo's propulsion system is entirely new, offering greater torque and lower consumption compared to previous engines. At its launch, the model will be available in two trim levels (Life and Style), with three power levels and three different battery sizes. The 50 and 58 kWh batteries support a DC charging power of up to 105 kW at fast-charging stations, while the 79 kWh version reaches up to 183 kW.
The new ID. models incorporate the Innovision infotainment system and a new app store in the In-Car Shop, allowing functions and services to be activated or expanded digitally and flexibly. Available options include an augmented reality head-up display, a large panoramic roof, the 360-degree Area View system, massage and memory functions for the front seats, and a premium sound system from Harman/Kardon. The ID.3 Neo is now available from €29,495 with brand commercial campaigns.
