Valencian airports exceed 4,000 flights in the first week of July

Air traffic at the Alicante-Elche and Valencia facilities grows with the start of the summer holidays.

The summer holiday departure operation has boosted air traffic in the Valencian Community, recording more than 4,000 operations at the Alicante-Elche and Valencia airports during the first week of July.

The Alicante-Elche airport was the busiest hub, totaling 3,132 flights between Monday, June 29, and Sunday, July 5. This figure represents a 10.87% increase compared to the same period last year, when 2,825 takeoffs were recorded. Saturday was the busiest day, with 482 scheduled operations.
Meanwhile, Valencia airport also experienced growth in its traffic volume. Specifically, there was a 6.19% increase compared to the previous year, rising from 1,711 flights to 1,817 during the same week. At this facility, Friday was the day with the most movement, reaching 268 operations.
Across the Valencian territory, Saturday stood out as the preferred day for travelers, accumulating a total of 739 air operations between both facilities. These figures mark the start of the summer holiday period with an upward trend in air mobility.
