The activity of the Valencia Conference Centre generated a total economic impact of 94.7 million euros in the local environment during 2025, according to data from the Association of Spanish Conference Centres (APCE).
Of this figure, 53.5 million euros correspond to the direct impact associated with the holding of congresses, conventions, and professional events. The remaining 41.2 million derive from the indirect impact on sectors such as hospitality, accommodation, transport, and auxiliary services, demonstrating its capacity to energize the business fabric.
The Board of Directors of the Valencia Conference Centre approved the annual accounts for 2025, an exercise that stands as the second best in the venue's history, with global revenues of 5,959,092 euros. The Working Capital Fund reached 2,389,155 euros, a 7.7% increase over 2024, ensuring short-term resources for operational obligations.
The 2025 financial year was marked by high activity, with a total of 115,573 attendees and 105 events, representing an increase of 15% and 5% respectively compared to the previous year. These activity figures generated 95,000 overnight stays in the city, reinforcing the Conference Centre's role as a benchmark in the MICE sector and an economic engine for Valencia.
Investments in innovation and sustainability have been fundamental pillars in the execution of the building's Sustainability Plan during 2025. With 579,716 euros co-financed primarily through the European Next Generation EU Funds, progress has been made towards a building at the forefront of technology and energy efficiency. In terms of environmental sustainability, projects such as Zentropy MICE, with an investment of 5.2 million euros until 2028 and 80% funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), seek sustainable tourism and a positive legacy for the city.
For 2026, the Valencia Conference Centre faces the year with positive forecasts, with nearly 90% of the projected sales figure already committed, anticipating revenues exceeding 5 million euros. Congresses will continue to be the main economic driver, accounting for around 80% of total turnover, with a growing prominence of international congresses.
However, the Socialist Party, through a councillor, voted against the annual accounts of the Conference Centre on the board of directors. The councillor has announced that he will review all invoices to determine the origin of a "discrepancy detected in the annual accounts since 2023" which, according to him, the municipal government has been unable to justify. The Socialist Party demands "good management and transparency" and that any management problems be corrected.
