The municipalities of Riba-roja de Túria, Cheste, and Loriguilla have definitively approved the statutes of the A3 Industrial Mancomunidad in an Assembly, a key step to consolidate a joint strategy for industrial development and investment attraction.

The Assembly, held in Riba-roja de Túria, gave the green light to the justificatory report and the statutes that will govern the new supramunicipal entity. The proposal was approved by a majority of 25 votes in favor, with 7 abstentions, while the People's Party formations from Cheste and Loriguilla did not attend the vote. This collaboration aims to position this strategic area, located between the A3 highway and the bypass, as an attractive destination for industrial investment and to pool services, projects, and plans of general interest.
The creation of this mancomunidad continues the work of the Association of Municipalities Linked to the Industrial Logistics Area, formed in 2017 by the same municipalities, which aimed to develop a joint business area of approximately 14 million square meters. This industrial strip, already home to 2,800 companies, is developing alongside the A3 highway, near infrastructure such as the Cheste Educational Complex and the Ricardo Tormo Permanent Speed Circuit.
Following the provisional validation on October 8, 2024, and incorporating considerations from the Provincial Corporation and the Directorate General of Local Administration, the definitive approval consolidates a joint strategy that will foster industrial development and the achievement of the 'strategic logistics municipality' status, aiming for greater market competitiveness.
The A3 Industrial Mancomunidad will enable the management of shared services such as waste treatment, water and energy supply, infrastructure maintenance, promotion of energy self-consumption, installation of truck parking lots, and electric charging points. In parallel, coordination will be sought in vocational training, improvement of mobility and public transport, sustainable drainage systems, and effective, sustainable urban planning.
The presidency of the Mancomunidad will be held by the mayor of Riba-roja de Túria, Robert Raga, on a rotating basis, while the mayors of Cheste, José Morell, and Loriguilla, Montserrat Cervera, will hold the vice-presidencies. The statutes must now be approved by the plenary sessions of each municipality.
“

"This alliance will enable us to pool services and make them more competitive for the residents and workers of the three municipalities. It will also allow us to access funding through European, state, and regional grants. This is a very important step to position this large industrial logistics area as the most important in the Valencian Community and the Mediterranean arc."
