The L'Alcora City Council has awarded the company Pavasal a project to improve and modernize its industrial areas for over 828,000 euros, co-financed by the IVACE.
The initiative, part of the municipal plan l’Alcora Creix, aims to make the economic spaces more efficient, safe, and attractive. The works will focus on the Foies Ferraes, Torreta, and Santa industrial estates.
A key focus will be the expansion of the sanitation network and hydraulic infrastructure, addressing a long-standing demand from local businesses. This phase will extend the network's overall coverage to over 60% of the industrial area, preparing new zones for business connections.
Improvements include potable water supply networks and the implementation of separate systems for wastewater and rainwater. In Torreta, two pumping stations will be completed, while Santa will advance in network separation to increase evacuation capacity. The project also incorporates new energy infrastructure for future increases in electrical power.
Beyond underground improvements, the project integrates technology, mobility, and safety. Telecommunication and fiber optic ducting, new fire hydrants, and a video surveillance system connected to the Local Police will be installed. Additionally, energy efficiency will be enhanced with LED lighting, accessibility improved with new sidewalks, and the environment beautified with new green spaces and landscaping.

"This project very well reflects the objective of l’Alcora Creix: to continue growing through planning, improving our infrastructure, and preparing the municipality to meet present and future needs."
“
"A very important part of this action focuses on sanitation, an infrastructure that is often unseen but is fundamental for daily operations, business competitiveness, and the orderly development of our industrial areas."
The awarding of these works marks another step in the City Council's commitment to improving its industrial estates, promoting modern spaces to generate economic activity and employment.
