The Elche City Council has embarked on an institutional trip to the Chinese city of Shenzhen, aiming to strengthen the municipality's international projection and advance in attracting investments to boost local economic development.

The Elche delegation, which will be in China from April 13 to 16, has a busy agenda of working meetings with institutional and business representatives, as well as economic agents from the Asian country. The objective is to establish contacts and open new strategic collaboration avenues for the municipality.
This trip is part of the collaboration agreement approved by the Local Government Board between the Elche City Council and the People's Government of Nansha District. The agreement establishes a framework for the joint development of initiatives aimed at fostering synergies in business, industrial, cultural, sports, and technological fields.
Through this agreement, both institutions commit to promoting actions such as trade missions, delegation exchanges, organizing business meetings, and developing joint projects that favor attracting talent and investment to the municipality of Elche.
This initiative is part of the municipal government's strategy to showcase the city's economic and investment attractions. It relies on traditional sectors like the footwear industry and tools such as the “Elche Investment Oasis” platform or events like the Palmera Tech technology congress.
The delegation is headed by Mayor Pablo Ruz, along with the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Samuel Ruiz.
