The Comunitat Valenciana welcomed over 12.4 million international tourists in 2025, surpassing previous year's figures and establishing itself as a key destination with a significant increase in visitors' average daily spending.

According to the report by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, the region recorded the arrival of 12,422,659 foreign visitors, nearly half a million more than the previous year. These tourists spent an average of 140 euros daily and enjoyed an average stay of 9.2 days.
The study highlights that the United Kingdom remains the primary source market, accounting for 24.3% of all tourists. It is closely followed by France with 17%, the Netherlands with 8.2%, Nordic countries with 8.1%, and Germany with 6.5%.
Visitor spending varies significantly depending on the purpose of the trip. Business tourism leads in expenditure with 188 euros daily, while sports tourism reaches 176 euros per day, and cultural tourism is around 150 euros. By destination, Benidorm records one of the highest expenditures at 184.8 euros daily, followed by the city of València with 163.3 euros.
By province, Alicante concentrates stays of 9.8 days with an average expenditure of 138.4 euros. The province of València reaches 153.7 euros daily with stays of 7.3 days. Castellón, for its part, stands out for the longest stay, with 12.4 days, although with a lower average daily expenditure of 105 euros.
Leisure and holidays continue to be the main reason for travel. Although the sun and beach product accounts for 43.4%, for the first time it is below half, with segments such as cultural or sports tourism gaining ground. The most popular activities include enjoying the beach (82%), shopping (68.4%), and city visits (66.8%).
Regarding accommodation, 38.6% of tourists opt for hotels and 19.4% for tourist housing. The majority of visitors arrive by air (80.8%), and the predominant profile is men aged between 25 and 44, with higher education and actively employed.

"The British market once again leads the arrival of international tourists, and the importance of this data is fundamental for guiding promotion strategies and adjusting resources to strengthen tourism products with greater potential."
