Colortec, a company specializing in the design and manufacturing of custom colors for the plastics sector, has successfully completed the comprehensive digitization of its plant in Ibi. This project, undertaken over a year and a half in collaboration with the Institute of Technological Informatics (ITI), has transformed the work environment from scattered data to a unified and efficient system, according to sources from the Foia de Castalla Business Association (Ibiae).
Prior to this transformation, the company's information was spread across various systems. Colortec has now managed to capture, unify, and refine all production data, converting it into useful information that adds real value to strategic decision-making. The company's global view, with organized and accessible data for all departments, has significantly improved operational efficiency.
ITI's support was crucial in exceeding initial expectations, providing a close and tailored approach to Colortec's needs. As a next step, the company is planning to apply artificial intelligence to the generated data to optimize production planning and develop intelligent systems that recommend production organization.
With over 35 years of experience, Colortec has established itself as a leader in the plastics sector, offering custom 'masterbatch' solutions. The company designs, manufactures, and advises on the best technical solutions, having developed over 35,000 colors and creating approximately 2,000 new designs annually, with an annual production exceeding 1,500,000 kilograms of 'masterbatch'.
