The Consortium for Employment Management of Ceramic Municipalities and its Area of Influence continues to strengthen its direct work in Burriana. Since the project began in 2025, 79 business prospecting actions have been carried out, including company visits and information gathering on their needs. The Councilor for Active Employment Policies of the Burriana City Council, Suni Fandos, has highlighted the importance of this collaboration to bring resources that improve residents' job opportunities and understand business demands.
So far in 2026, 16 prospecting activities have been conducted. This allows technical staff to gain firsthand knowledge of the local business landscape, identify needs, and anticipate difficulties related to hiring, professional profiles, and training. The information obtained helps guide labor intermediation, training, and employability improvement efforts, bridging the gap between business needs and the capabilities of job seekers.
In parallel, the Pact has organized 11 workshops and conferences in Burriana focused on improving employability and digital skills, with 237 participants. These sessions provide tools and knowledge to facilitate job searching and adaptation to an ever-changing labor market.
Fandos stated that "these figures demonstrate that the collaboration between the City Council and the Ceramic Pact has a direct impact in our municipality." She emphasized that it's not just about offering training or support to job seekers, but also about engaging with companies to understand the profiles and skills they require, thus ensuring a more effective response.
The work in Burriana is part of the project Creating Opportunities: Entrepreneurship, Employment, and Training, which structures the Consortium's activities. The collaboration between the Burriana City Council and the Ceramic Pact allows for close and specialized attention, combining citizen support with an understanding of business needs to enhance employability and strengthen the local economy.
