A new VIPS restaurant, set to be the largest in the Corredor del Henares region, will open in May in Torrejón de Ardoz, within the Oasiz Madrid shopping center, expanding the area's culinary offerings.
The town of Torrejón de Ardoz is preparing for the May inauguration of a new VIPS restaurant, which will become the brand's largest establishment in the Corredor del Henares and within the city itself. This venue will be located in the Oasiz Madrid shopping center, one of the most prominent commercial complexes in the Community of Madrid.
The new space will boast an area of 440 square meters, including a terrace, and will have a maximum capacity for 260 diners. These dimensions position it as the largest VIPS in the region. Additionally, it will offer a full service covering breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.
This opening is part of a strategic agreement between the shopping center and the Alsea group, a leading organized restaurant operator in Spain and Latin America. The goal is to continue enriching the complex's gastronomic offerings. With this addition, the VIPS chain will reach 103 restaurants in the Community of Madrid.
“
"The incorporation of VIPS represents another step in our commitment to enrich and diversify the center's offerings with leading operators, strengthening a dynamic and constantly evolving commercial environment."
“
"At VIPS, we maintain a strong commitment to the Community of Madrid as a strategic growth lever. The opening of a new restaurant in the region allows us to consolidate a network of benchmark establishments in the sector through locations linked to leisure offerings and high value for our customers."
The new restaurant will complement an already established culinary offering at the shopping center, which includes everything from Japanese cuisine to Brazilian-style meats, reinforcing the complex's gastronomic diversity. VIPS, founded in Madrid in 1969, is one of Spain's most recognized casual dining chains, with over 170 establishments nationwide.
The Alsea group, which operates brands such as Starbucks, Domino’s Pizza, Foster’s Hollywood, and Ginos, has over 4,820 restaurants and stores in 11 countries, employing more than 75,000 people. In Europe, it manages 1,517 units and 21,544 employees across six markets.
The shopping center where the new VIPS will be located has a total area of 250,000 square meters, over 90,000 square meters of leasable space, and more than 120 commercial premises, featuring brands like Adidas, Fnac, Mango, and Nike Factory. Its leisure offerings include Cinesa Luxe cinemas and a family entertainment center, as well as a lake with water, light, and sound shows. The complex also stands out for its commitment to sustainability, with 7,500 solar panels and extensive greenery.
