ITE Drives Six R&D&i Projects with IVACE+i Support

New initiatives aim to enhance Valencian industrial competitiveness through digital, clean, and biotechnology solutions.

The Institute of Technological Energy (ITE) is reinforcing its role as a key technological partner for Valencian industry, thanks to support from the Valencian Institute for Competitiveness and Innovation (IVACE+i), which has approved six new R&D&i projects.

These projects, set to run until 2027 in collaboration with centers from the Network of Technological Institutes of the Valencian Community (Redit), are aimed at boosting key sectors and strengthening Valencian industry through the development of STEP technologies. The goal is to promote energy transition, sustainability, and electrification via digital, clean, and biotechnology solutions.
Through these initiatives, the ITE solidifies its position as a leading technological center, offering companies its expertise in energy, sustainability, digitalization, biosensing, circular economy, electric mobility, and environmental management. The projects aim to translate R&D&i into applicable solutions to enhance the productive sector's efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and anticipate future challenges.
The six projects –DATAGRID, PRISMA-D, AQUA2VAL II, VIBRAS+, RECRIT-CV, and MULTIPASS– address specific business challenges. DATAGRID, in collaboration with AIDIMME and IBV, will improve energy data management to optimize low-voltage electrical grids. RECRIT-CV, with AIDIMME, ITC, and AIMPLAS, will investigate the recovery and reuse of valuable metals from electronic waste and batteries, advancing circular economy principles.
Water management is a priority, and AQUA2VAL II (with AITEX, AIJU, AINIA, INESCOP, ITC, ITI, AIMPLAS, and AIDIMME) will offer solutions for water purification and reuse. Meanwhile, PRISMA, with AINIA and INESCOP, will focus on early detection of contaminants. Regarding electric mobility, VIBRAS (with IBV and AIDIMME) will tackle grid charging integration and safety.
Finally, MULTIPASS, developed with AIDIMME, AIJU, AIMPLAS, AINIA, AITEX, INESCOP, and ITI, will propose a Digital Product Passport (DPP) solution for sectors like construction, textiles, food, and footwear, facilitating traceability and compliance with European regulations.
All these projects are funded by IVACE+i and the European Union (FEDER Operational Program for the Valencian Community 2021–2027), underscoring the ITE's role as a technological ally for Valencian industry.
