The Burriana City Council and the Castellón Chamber of Commerce have formalized an agreement to analyze and capture industrial investment opportunities, aiming to transform 1.5 million square meters of planned land into a driver of employment and economic development.

This strategic alliance seeks to position Burriana, the capital of La Plana Baixa, as a key location for the arrival of leading companies in technological and sustainable sectors. The city council indicates that the project will strengthen Burriana's projection as a strategic hub in the Mediterranean, especially in a context of supply chain relocation and the rise of port logistics.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Burriana, Jorge Monferrer; the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Mª Dolores Guillamón Fajardo; and the Councillor for Commerce, Suni Fandos. The program, with a total budget of 10,600 euros, will be developed in two well-defined phases.
The first phase will focus on a comprehensive analysis of the territory and the prioritization of sectors with high potential for implementation, including renewable energies, sustainable green technology, advanced logistics, and the metal industry. Subsequently, the second phase will involve directly identifying relevant stakeholders, investment funds, and expanding companies to generate a real project pipeline for the municipality.

"This agreement with the Chamber of Commerce is fundamental to leverage the enormous potential of our industrial land. We want it to stop being a possibility on paper and become a reality that generates wealth and employment. We are not looking for just any investment, but those that bring added value, sustainability, and quality employment to our city."

Suni Fandos · Councillor for Commerce of Burriana
The City Council emphasizes that this agreement will allow them to benefit from the technical leadership of the Chamber and its access to an extensive network of databases and national and international contacts, thereby strengthening the investment attraction strategy.

"Having the technical endorsement and the network of contacts of the Chamber allows us to professionalize the attraction of companies to the maximum. With this agreement, we put Burriana on the radar of major industrial investments."

Jorge Monferrer · Mayor of Burriana
Mayor Jorge Monferrer highlighted that Burriana offers favorable conditions due to its proximity to the port, its connection to the Mediterranean Corridor, and the availability of large areas, factors that make it attractive for future sectors such as electric mobility or agri-food logistics.
