The province of Castellón solidified its position in 2025 as the second in Spain with the highest number of home sales per capita, according to the report published by the College of Registrars of Spain, surpassing the national average with 22.61 transactions per thousand residents.

This figure places Castellón only behind Alicante in the national ranking, highlighting the dynamism of its real estate market. The report emphasizes that the province registered a total of 14,384 sales throughout the year, within a context of strong real estate activity across the entire Valencian Community.
Although the absolute volume of transactions is lower than that of Valencia or Alicante, Castellón's relative performance confirms the intensity of its provincial market. This momentum is also reflected in the average housing price, which stood at 1,281 euros per square meter, following a 4.6% increase during 2025.
This increase was the most moderate among the three Valencian provinces. Regarding financing, 7,965 mortgages were recorded during the year. Foreign demand played a significant role, accounting for 13.21% of all sales transactions in Castellón, according to data from the College of Registrars.
Thus, the province closed the year with a very active market, maintaining prices that were still more moderate compared to other territories in the Valencian Community.
