The Castellón City Council, through the Department of Infrastructure and Urban Services, has concluded improvement works at the La Basala industrial park. Councilor Sergio Toledo oversaw the reception of these actions, which aim to optimize the city's business environment.
“"Improving the city's infrastructure is key to fostering economic activity, security, and the functionality of our industrial parks. We have a city in constant growth, and our job is to ensure that this growth occurs in the right way."
The works included the modernization of the main access to the industrial park, road paving, improvement of the drainage network, and the creation of new parking areas. Horizontal and vertical signage has also been renewed, the potable water network has been upgraded, and four fire hydrants have been installed. A notable aspect is the use of a fully recycled mixture in the repaving work, highlighting the commitment to sustainability.
Furthermore, a video surveillance system connected directly to the Local Police has been implemented, with the objective of reinforcing security in this industrial area. The project, awarded to the company Pavasal, involved an investment of approximately 197,000 euros and was executed within a period of 10 weeks.
The project is part of the grant call from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE), which contributed nearly 104,000 euros. The intervention covered 3,500 square meters of roadway, within a total area of 61,841 square meters of the industrial park, focusing primarily on the area around Avenida del Castell Vell.
