The province of Almería has become a central point for executive training in the primary sector, hosting the prestigious Agri-Food Business Management Program (DEA) from San Telmo Business School, an initiative that equips local professionals with advanced management tools.
This significant educational offering, a result of the collaboration between the Provincial Council and the renowned business school, allows executives and professionals from the region to access high-level training without needing to travel outside the province. The program will run intensively between April and November.
The president of the Almería Provincial Council visited the participants on their inaugural day, highlighting the program's great reception, which has reached full capacity. He emphasized that this response reflects the strength and ambition of the Almerian sector, a fundamental economic pillar for the region.
“
"Almería is the undisputed agricultural leader, a benchmark in exports, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This program is a recognition of that production and processing sector that constitutes our identity and makes us proud to be from Almería."
According to the president, the progress of local companies is based on a balance between product excellence and technical qualification. In this regard, he stressed the importance of training and commercialization under the umbrella of Sabores Almería to expand the opportunities for local products in national and international markets.
For his part, Julio Audicana Arcas, Deputy General Director of San Telmo Business School, positively valued the program's return to Almería, recalling that the last edition of the DEA in the province took place in 2003. He explained that the DEA was the second executive program created by the school, which underscores its trajectory and relevance.
“
"This year we will train more than 600 people in long-term programs, and Almería, due to its specific weight in the sector, is a key scenario for us."
Audicana encouraged students to make the most of the program's methodology, which promotes collaborative learning through the analysis of success stories and crisis situations, fostering constant feedback among participating professionals.
