The event, held at the Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti, brought together representatives from the healthcare and business sectors to advance the development of innovative solutions for a more sustainable and circular healthcare supply chain. The Preliminary Market Consultation will be open until November 16th for R&D&i entities and companies.
The meeting, organized by SERGAS and ACIS with technical support from GALARIA EPSS, presented the technological challenge of the REHEAL project, funded by the Horizon Europe program. The main objective was to identify capabilities, innovation opportunities, and potential solutions to address the needs of European healthcare systems.
The REHEAL project aims to transform traditional healthcare supply chain models towards more circular, sustainable, and resilient systems, promoting the development of innovative technological solutions to improve information management and efficient resource use. After analyzing previous contributions, the European consortium revised the technological challenge, preparing for a future pre-commercial public procurement (CPP) tender that will mobilize over 3.5 million euros.
During a panel discussion, Juan Francisco Ínsua, Deputy Director of Economic Resources for the Lugo Health Area, and Cristina Enjamio, Head of GALARIA's Consultancy Service, addressed the project's functional and technological needs. The event also explained the participation mechanisms for the Preliminary Market Consultation and the next steps before the tender's publication.
The REHEAL project, funded by the European Union, brings together European entities committed to the sustainable transformation of healthcare systems. Galicia's participation reinforces its commitment to healthcare innovation and public procurement.
