TUVISA, the public company managing municipal car parks in Vitoria-Gasteiz, has made a significant leap in its digitalization strategy by launching a revamped website dedicated to these services, aiming to enhance user experience.

This website update seeks to transform the user's interaction with urban infrastructure, prioritizing a visual, intuitive, and, above all, functional design for those navigating the Alavese capital. Previously, citizens had to sift through endless blocks of text to find information.
With the new structure, the interface is segmented into identifiable buttons for each car park, allowing direct access to tariffs, schedules, and specific services. This makes information retrieval much quicker and easier.
The major technical innovation of this launch is the integration of a monitoring system that displays real-time available spaces in the rotating car parks. This development, carried out by the Municipal IT Service using the JavaScript programming language, enables drivers to know the occupancy status of a car park even before starting their vehicle.
This tool not only improves user experience but also has a direct impact on traffic flow in the city center by reducing parking search time and, consequently, pollutant emissions. The content reorganization includes standardized information sheets for the six key locations currently managed by the municipal company: Artium, Europa, Iradier Arena, Molinuevo, Santa Bárbara, and Zaldiaran.

"The renovation responds to the commitment to offer useful digital tools that facilitate more efficient mobility."

In addition to occupancy, the website now clearly centralizes the necessary documentation for season passes and access maps, simplifying procedures for users.
