The LAB union, which holds the majority on the committee and also includes representatives from ELA and CCOO, announced that employees decided to initiate a phase of mobilization through an assembly vote, with 80 in favor, 29 against, and 2 abstentions.
The protests will start next Tuesday with two-hour stoppages, increasing to three hours the following week, and could escalate to an indefinite strike if the situation does not improve.
“"The negotiation of the agreement is blocked, as it proposes a step backward from current conditions that the workforce will not allow."
For the social representation, it is essential to include relief contracts in the new agreement and guarantee purchasing power. Additionally, other demands include reducing annual working hours, eliminating the double salary scale, and reducing the hours bank.
The union has called on the company to return to the negotiating table to reach a consensus and urged workers to support the planned mobilizations.
