The 29th season of Teknopolise, a program dedicated to science, technology, and innovation, has been presented at the main Library of the Gipuzkoa Campus of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), specifically at the Carlos Santamaría Center. Attendees included Amaia Esquisabel Alegria, director of Scientific Policy for the Basque Government; Agustin Ezenarro Zumeta, head of the Program area at ETB; Edurne Gaston Estanga, coordinator of the Science Unit at Elhuyar; and representatives from the supporting institutions.
The new season will begin this weekend, with the following schedule: Saturdays at 13:30 on ETB1 and Sundays at 12:15 on ETB2.
This season will place particular emphasis on health-related topics. In addition to the scientific contributions of medicine and research, it will feature testimonials from patients who experience illnesses firsthand. Innovative techniques for transplants, cutting-edge cancer treatments, and nutritional trends will also be explored.
Technology will also have a prominent place in the program, with the initial episodes focusing on next-generation robotics and the Basque aeronautical industry. Furthermore, Teknopolise will address the consequences of climate change, demonstrating how rising sea levels will affect the Basque coast and analyzing the metabolism of our cities.
