As reported by the Vocento group, PKF Attest will serve as the insolvency administrator for Tubos Reunidos. This company, specializing in consulting and auditing services, recorded a turnover of 80 million euros in 2025.
The firm has experience in similar processes, having managed the liquidation of the La Naval de Sestao shipyard and the Mazacruz group in 2024. In the latter case, the business, valued at 615 million euros, initiated its procedure due to conflicts among the family members who owned it.

The news has taken unions by surprise, who have informed Aiaraldea Komunikabidea that they have been summoned to court on May 26 for a meeting with the administrator and the company. However, they have not been informed who will take on the responsibilities of the insolvency administrator.
Union sources have emphasized that this three-way meeting will be crucial, as it will determine whether the file proceeds, is withdrawn, or if other measures are proposed. Additionally, the striking unions have noted that very few factory workers used the buses paid for by the company today, with most of those who reported to work being office staff, largely from the multinational's structure.
