A Vitoria court has summoned the insolvency administrator of Tubos Reunidos, company representatives, and workers' legal representatives for May 26, to analyze the continuation of collective measures proposed within the insolvency proceedings initiated for the steel group.

This summons follows two orders issued by Civil Section 7 of the Vitoria-Gasteiz Court of First Instance, which declared seven companies linked to the Tubos Reunidos group in voluntary insolvency.
According to the ESK union, the appearance will allow the parties to present and justify, if applicable, the advisability of continuing with the processing of these measures as established in the consolidated text of the Insolvency Law.
One of the judicial resolutions declares the joint insolvency of Tubos Reunidos Group S.L.U., with facilities in Amurrio and Trapagaran, and Tubos Reunidos Premium Threads S.L., located in Iruña de Oca. The second order affects Tubos Reunidos Services S.L.U., Aplicaciones Tubulares S.L.U., Tubos Reunidos GMBH, based in Germany, as well as the American companies Tubos Reunidos América INC and RDT INC.
In both procedures, the court has appointed PKF-Attest Concursal S.L.P. as the insolvency administrator, who will be responsible for supervising the management of the companies during the process.
Meanwhile, the situation at the Amurrio plant remains marked by the halt of activity. ESK union assures that the factory is “completely stopped,” despite some workers entering in buses organized by the company's management.
The unions ELA, LAB, and ESK, which form the majority on the Tubos Reunidos committee, have called all employees of the Amurrio (Álava) factory to an informative assembly this coming Friday. The assembly will address the company's current situation, including an indefinite strike that has paralyzed production, and the decision by a Vitoria court to declare seven group companies in voluntary insolvency and appoint an insolvency administrator.
