Next Wednesday, July 1st, the indefinite strike by Maderas de Llodio workers will officially conclude, as they are on the verge of finalizing a definitive agreement with the multinational Garnica.

As reported by union sources to Aiaraldea Komunikabidea, workers and the company are close to reaching an agreement that will end the work stoppage initiated last September. This strike has become the longest in the history of Aiaraldea, lasting approximately 284 days if projections hold true.
Prior to the finalization of the agreement, the striking workers have organized a mobilization for this coming Monday. The demonstration will start at 6:30 PM from the Eroski roundabout and proceed to the Plaza del Pueblo, where a press conference will be held half an hour later to assess the struggle and provide further details on the reached accord.
The workers began the stoppage in protest against the dismissal of 35 colleagues. On June 8th, they decided to accept the latest offer presented by Garnica, thereby setting a final date for the strike.
