The growth and transformation of a family business often blur the lines between intimate and corporate events, merging family and enterprise. This was evident yesterday at the BIC Bizkaia Ezkerraldea in Barakaldo, where Alberto Beraza and Reina Trueba, founders of Instalak Reformas Integrales, were surprised by their sons, Alex and Daniel Beraza, at a specially organized tribute.
While initially thought to be a surprise birthday party for Reina Trueba, the event proved to be far more significant: a recognition of decades of sacrifice, work, and effort. Collaborators such as José Luis Serrano and Kaki, and clients like Txema Pérez de Albéniz (area manager at Cruz Roja Bizkaia), along with Vasile Vasilache, took the stage to express their appreciation for Alberto Beraza's contributions.
From the stage, speakers unanimously praised the tenacity of Alberto and Reina, as well as their ability to foster a sense of family among Instalak's members. Alex and Daniel Beraza recounted the company's evolution from its heroic beginnings in the 90s, recalling how their parents fought to keep it alive during the financial crisis, despite recommendations to close.
The company implemented various initiatives to strengthen its position, including a street-level exhibition for clients, obtaining ISO certifications, and developing a patent in solar thermal energy. Their collaboration with Vaillant earned them recognition as Innovators Partners. They actively participated in trade fairs and engaged in renewable energy solutions, which led to the opportunity to renovate the 18th-century Palacio San Cristóbal de Zalla, earning several sustainable rehabilitation awards.
Adhering to Reina Trueba's philosophy that "crises are opportunities if you are prepared," the family and company navigated through difficulties. Reina Trueba thanked everyone for the surprise and applause, emphasizing the importance of never giving up, moving forward, and seeking creative solutions, as well as surrounding oneself with "wonderful people."
The event also marked the public debut of Construcciones Rontegi, the family's new company. Attendees included Mari Carmen Trueba, Elías Palacios, Nuria Beraza, Ane Santamaría, Marc Galofré, Iria Gallardo, Jéssica Gacía, Aroa Verano, Ianire de la Torre, Israel and Imanol Palacios, and Aritz Larrieta.
Amaia Díaz, Jokin Astorkiza, Marcos, Mikel and Udane Adama, Ainara Ros, Feli Zulueta, Igor Méndez, Markel Cano, Olatz Galdames, Beñat Castaños, Remus Stecina, Alina Rosu, Begoña Paredes, Juan Iztueta, Bea Castresana, Borja Garagorri, Irene Picher, Alejandro Saiz, and Cristina Pascual attended the auditorium at the Business Development Center of the Margen Izquierda.
The extensive and fruitful trajectory of Reina Trueba and Alberto Beraza was celebrated, alongside the launch of Construcciones Rontegi by Sandra Gallardo, Pablo Fernández, and Janire López, accompanied by Aimar Fernández, Jaime Ortiz, Aitor Arberas, Alberto Gil, José Daniel Ferriols, Emila Aguilera, Alfonso Gallardo, Dayron Abreu, Yunia Torres, José Carlos Coto, Roberto Castañeda, Alejandra Fernández, Miren and Raquel Larrañaga, and Marian Ledesma.
