InspectRail has closed a 1.5 million euro funding round to support the expansion of its technology-based business focused on inspecting railway maintenance operations.

The round combines equity and debt, with support from the Basque Capital Risk Management, a public company of the SPRI Group, through the Basque Tek Ventures initiative. New venture capital investors include Easo Ventures, Pinama Capital, and EONIQ Fund, complemented by debt provided by the Deeptek Gipuzkoa Foundation, Elkargi-Fomento San Sebastián, CaixaBank DayOne, and Rural Kutxa.
Founded in 2023, the company is a spin-off of the CEIT technology center, part of the BRTA alliance. Its solutions combine sensors and artificial intelligence to turn regular trains into inspection platforms, enabling predictive maintenance and cost savings without disrupting commercial services.
The company will showcase its innovations this week in Berlin at the InnoTrans 2026 trade fair. This technology revolutionizes how track and catenary defects are detected, moving beyond traditional annual manual inspections.
