A total of twenty companies from Gipuzkoa are participating in a trade mission, organized by the Provincial Council and the Chamber of Gipuzkoa, which is exploring new business opportunities in Morocco starting today. The mission, scheduled to run until Thursday, includes visits to significant companies established in the country and meetings with institutional agents.
The organizing entities have highlighted that Morocco has consolidated its position as “a strategic market in North Africa” thanks to the economic growth it has experienced in recent years. Its geographical location is considered “key,” serving as a bridge between Europe and Africa.
Among the sectors presenting the greatest opportunities for establishing commercial relationships are automotive, aeronautics, renewable energies, logistics, and infrastructure. The positive outlook in these areas fosters opportunities for investment, industrial cooperation, and business development, as indicated by the Chamber and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.
Participating companies include Talleres Arreche, Silam, Ibarmia, Algeposa, Euskabea, Gurelan, Cauchopren, Likale, Elay, Echemar, Iraupen, Arina, Elmubas, Oilgear, Safeloc, Ulma Handling, Erlo, Jamai, Fagor Arrasate, and Andrés Eizaguirre. The organizers of the business mission stated that these companies belong to various sectors, primarily automotive, steel, aeronautics, and industrial subcontracting.
During the commercial visit, participants will have the opportunity to tour the facilities of Irizar, Stellantis, Renault, Garrigues, and Campezo. Additionally, they will meet with entities such as the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Investment Center, the Gimas association for the aeronautical and space sector, and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises.
