Donostia tops the list, requiring 5,074 euros per month, which is double the national average. It is followed by Madrid (4,574 euros) and Barcelona (4,485 euros). In Gasteiz, the necessary salary for a home purchase is 2,479 euros.
Nationwide, the analysis concludes that a net monthly salary of 1,999 euros, or approximately 35,000 euros gross per year, is needed to afford the purchase of a home under current financial conditions.
