The visit by the Colombian delegation, led by the Coomeva Foundation, is part of an international mission taking place in Euskadi from April 7th to 10th. Its objective is to learn about experiences and best practices for strengthening business organizations, generating quality employment, promoting organizational innovation, and fostering territorial roots.
The delegation comprises entrepreneurs, executives, and institutional representatives from sectors such as engineering, health, education, financial services, technology, culture, and the solidarity economy. Among its members are also representatives of the Coomeva Award, an initiative that recognizes business excellence with social impact.
During the meeting, Pérez Barredo shared the strategic lines of Basque public policies in Social Economy, as well as support tools for cooperativism, collective entrepreneurship, and labor societies. She emphasized the value of this model in addressing current challenges in employment, economic transition, and social sustainability.
Furthermore, a dialogue space was opened for the exchange of experiences, comparative analysis of models, and the exploration of potential future cooperation avenues between Euskadi and Colombia in the field of Social Economy. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Basque Government in Vitoria-Gasteiz at the request of the delegation itself, which was interested in the Basque ecosystem as an international reference.
