The Beterri-Buruntza Commonwealth, founded in 2022, is fully operational thanks to the collaboration between the municipalities of Andoain, Astigarraga, Hernani, Lasarte-Oria, Urnieta, and Usurbil, aiming to strengthen the region's socioeconomic landscape.

The organization's work is based on three main pillars: citizens, local businesses, and companies. These three areas are addressed in a complementary manner to promote balanced and sustainable territorial development, combining economic progress with social cohesion.
In the employment and training department, people are at the center, aiming to improve their quality of life, promote social inclusion, and facilitate their path to employment. To this end, personalized attention is offered: first, identifying and strengthening each person's abilities; then, developing them through training; and finally, connecting them with suitable opportunities. This approach is based on equal opportunities, ensuring no one is left behind.
In the field of entrepreneurship, comprehensive support is provided throughout the entire process of launching a business, from initial administrative steps to its development, with available advice and training. Likewise, they assist in succession processes to ensure the continuity of businesses.
Furthermore, in the business sector, the Promotion department aims to strengthen competitiveness from a triple perspective: economic, social, and environmental. Continuous advice, advanced training, and specific projects are offered so that companies can face new challenges. Digitalization, innovation, and sustainability are some of the main areas addressed.

"When starting as a freelancer, many administrative and legal matters arise, and it's not easy to know where to begin. The Commonwealth provided me with all the information I needed, and I saw the path much clearer. The support received from the beginning has been fundamental for launching my project."

"For companies, it is very useful to have such support. Whenever we have any doubts or needs, we know who to turn to. In our case, they have helped us with the business digitalization process. Thanks to the collaboration, we have obtained the necessary information to make decisions."

The journey of the Beterri-Buruntza Commonwealth has been brief but fruitful: dozens of unemployed individuals have received training and support, hundreds of entrepreneurs have been accompanied, and many companies have participated in programs to improve their competitiveness. All this demonstrates the real impact of the initiative in the territory, becoming an effective tool for building a more prosperous, ecological, and socially inclusive future.
