The Basauri City Council, in collaboration with the local merchants' association, launched the sixth edition of the 'Bono Basauri' campaign this Monday, running until May 17, aiming to strengthen local commerce and hospitality.

The main objective of this initiative is to invigorate the commercial and hospitality sectors in Basauri, stimulating the local economy and fostering a more prosperous and secure municipality. The Basauri City Council has allocated an economic fund of 300,000 euros to the campaign, anticipating a much greater economic impact on the municipality due to the additional contributions made by customers when purchasing and redeeming the vouchers.
As in previous years, two types of vouchers are available: 15-euro vouchers, for which the customer pays 10 euros and the remaining 5 euros are subsidized by the City Council; and 6-euro vouchers, where the customer pays 4 euros and the remaining 2 euros are covered by the Consistory.

"The vouchers can be acquired at participating establishments, and each DNI/NIF/NIE allows for the use of vouchers up to a maximum expenditure of 60 euros. They are not exchangeable for cash, and no refunds will be issued if unused."

In this edition, 137 establishments in Basauri have joined the campaign, a slight decrease of 9 participants compared to the last experience. Nevertheless, variety is assured, encompassing sectors such as food, health, services, gifts, confectionery, fashion, footwear, bookstores, stationery, IT, electronics, home goods, aesthetics, styling, home appliances, accessories, and hospitality. All participating businesses will display an identifiable sticker in a visible location, and citizens can consult the list of affiliated premises in advance on the bono.basauri.eus website.
