The Chamber of Commerce of Álava has recognized five Basque companies for their international achievements and economic impact, with a special mention for Mercedes-Benz Vitoria.

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Álava has celebrated the international success of five companies from the province, acknowledging their contribution to the region's economic development. The event, held at the 'Gran Hotel Lakua' in Vitoria-Gasteiz, brought together over 180 business representatives and institutional leaders.
This year, Mercedes-Benz Vitoria received an 'Extraordinary Special Mention' for its significant impact on Álava's economic and industrial growth. The Vitoria plant accounts for approximately 40% of the territory's exports and 30% of its industrial GDP, solidifying its role as a major driver of employment and innovation.
The award for 'International Digital Strategy' went to SPC (Smart Product Connection), recognizing its specialized approach in market niches and its global e-commerce model. Meanwhile, Industrias Químicas Kupsa, based in Rioja Alavesa, was honored as 'Internationalized Company' for its global presence with production plants in Poland, Mexico, and India, and its specialization in advanced chemistry.
EGA Master secured the 'Sustainable International Brand' award for embedding sustainability into its business strategy, focusing on energy efficiency and the circular economy. Lastly, Grupo Tubacex, a world leader in advanced stainless steel and special alloys, was recognized as 'Large Internationalized Company' for its technological innovation and extensive international footprint, exporting 97% of its output.
